SI Sportsbook is live in Michigan.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board approved 888 Holdings’ VHL, Michigan LLC to be the new online platform provider for Island Resort & Casino.
Run by the Hannahville Indian Community, Island Resort & Casino opted into an agreement with 888 Holdings after TwinSpires elected to leave the internet gaming industry.
The new agreement and approval from the MGCB has opened the door for Michigan sports bettors. It is now available for s, effective at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

Sports Illustrated is only able to operate as an online sportsbook for the time being.
Hannahville Indian Community and 888 Holding have requested the MGCB to authorize internet sports betting only at this time. They are likely to seek approval for online casino operation later this year.
“The Hannahville tribe is the first operator in Michigan to change platform providers since internet gaming and sports betting began here in January 2021,” said Henry Williams, MGCB executive director. “The tribe has found another experienced partner, and I wish them continued success.”

It is the final step in the plan to exit Michigan’s iGaming industry that TwinSpires first decided to do last February.
With the exit, Island Resort & Casino had been in the works to secure a new online operator. SI Sportsbook was ultimately their choice.
When attempting to sign up in Michigan last week, SI indicated “SI_sportsbook-MI does not provide services in your location at this time.” In that phrase “at this time” was the key phrase.
Island Resort & Casino told PlayMichigan this past week it did not have a set launch date for the new operator, but would be announcing in September.
What is SI Sportsbook?
Sports Illustrated Sportsbook has partnered with 888Sport, a well-known brand in Europe that is operating in New Jersey. 888 Atlantic Limited is a licensed supplier in Michigan.
SI Sportsbook is also currently available in Virginia and Colorado.
What sports bettors will be able to expect out of SI Sportsbook MI is:
