Just off the heels of launching its new standalone app in Michigan, Hollywood Casino is adding value for players with Wonder Drops. This new promotion comes through a partnership with Light & Wonder, so it applies only to that company’s games.

The agreement makes Hollywood Casino the only Michigan online casino offering Light & Wonder’s new player engagement product as of now.

According to a press release, the centerpiece of the player engagement package is the Wonder Drops jackpot mechanic. This will allow Hollywood Casino to offer progressive or static cash prizes as an add-on to any Light & Wonder slots title or other casino game.

In addition, it allows players to see those prizes growing in real-time.

Bob Hays, Chief Commercial Officer of iGaming at Light & Wonder, said in a statement:

“Launching the Wonder Drops marketing jackpots system with Hollywood Casino in Michigan is a key step in our strategy to offer operators a flexible system that provides for innovative and engaging gaming experiences. We believe this strategy will redefine how players all over the world interact with the content we offer.”

poised to break the all-time record any minute now. No wonder Hollywood Casino wants in on the action.

What’s to come from partnership for Hollywood Casino

Wonder Drops is a big-time feature that is coming for Hollywood Casino players. However, there’s even more to come.

Players are going to see other custom tickets and campaigns as well, according to a video Light & Wonder published on LinkedIn. The video shows where the jackpot ticker is in an example and how it operates.

There are other features that have not been released yet, but are expected in the coming months. Hollywood Casino is going to be able to offer free rounds and multiplayer games, with additional tools including tournaments, Hot Seats, and daily free games.

Jason Birney, Vice President of Interactive Operations at PENN Entertainment, added:

“We’re pleased to be the first operator to launch Light & Wonder’s player engagement portfolio. Gaining access to these tools enhances our ability to creatively engage our players in Michigan by adding unique elements to the popular Light & Wonder games on Hollywood Casino that they already know and love.”

PENN Entertainment has big plans for Hollywood Casino, which launched the standalone app last week. The platform has around 750 games, with the overwhelming majority being slots.
