After receiving from players, the Michigan Lottery is working on a new, streamlined rewards program. It’s designed to smooth out the process by which players earn points that can be redeemed for bonus-play tickets, special deposit bonuses, and second-chance giveaways.
According to the Michigan Lottery website, the revamped program was born out of that “found players wanted more chances to earn bonus play, but without entering non-winning ticket codes online.”
New rewards program should be online in early 2018
The Michigan Lottery is expected to fully shelve the current program and roll out the new program in early 2018. Precisely how the program works will be revealed at a later date.
However, players can glimpse the new setup, as a few games seem to be using a prototype of the forthcoming program. Three games — Cashword, Bingo, and Wild Time — no longer give out rewards points. These games now award players “bonus-play coupons” and entries into weekly drawings for bonus instant tickets, per the Michigan Lottery website.

The current rewards program
As it stands, the Michigan Lottery gives ed players “points” when they enter codes from non-winning tickets. Players receive two points for every dollar spent on qualifying lottery products.
These points can then be redeemed for bonus-play tickets in the online rewards store.
Current prizes include:
- 10 Points: $500 a Day Giveaway
- 10 Points: $350 Instant Ticket Giveaway
- 10 Points: $350 Online Bonus Play Giveaway
- 1000 Points: 25% Deposit Match Online Bonus Credit
- 1000 Points: $2 Poker Lotto Bonus Play Reward Coupon
- 2000 Points: $4 Lucky For Life Bonus Play Reward Coupon
- 2000 Points: $4 Powerball Bonus Play Reward Coupon
- 2500 Points: $5 Daily 4 Bonus Play Reward Coupon
- 2500 Points: $5 Mega Millions Bonus Play Reward Coupon
- 2500 Points: 50% Deposit Match Online Bonus Credit
- 5000 Points: $10 Fantasy 5 Bonus Play Reward Coupon
The prizes are unlikely to change when the new rewards program is unveiled.
